Other Service Opportunities

There are many opportunities to serve inside Eagle River Grace as well as in the community, country or world.
Worship Music
The worship in music portion of our Sunday service includes a variety of styles: contemporary praise and worship, older praise choruses of the ‘70’s and ‘80’s, and traditional hymns. Our aim is to use the best Christian music available in order to enable people of all ages and preferences to express their awe, adoration, and gratitude for our Creator and Redeemer. We are always eager to work with newcomers who feel God is calling them to help lead worship in music. If you have that interest, please contact Mike or Jenni at worship@ergrace.org.
Offertory Music
Opportunities exist for musicians of any age to play for offertory during the church service. To sign up, contact Nancy at offertory@ergrace.org.
Good News Club
Good News Club is an exciting, fun-filled hour long club once a week that meets after school at an elementary school.  It includes dynamic Bible lessons, creative learning activities, inspiring missionary stories, meaningful songs, and life-changing Scripture memory.  It is sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship of Alaska, Anchorage and Eagle River Grace Church. Contact office@ergrace.org if you would like to assist at a Good News Club.
Bean’s Café
On the 2nd Sunday of each month, folks (13 years and up) from our church go to Bean’s Café to serve a hot meal to the clients. We serve for an hour and a half.  As many of the people go through the serving line, they ask God to bless us for being there. The young people who help serve get to see a part of what life is like for those less fortunate than they. God is glorified when we do what He asks us to do and, for me and the others who go, we are fulfilling the scripture that says, “For I was an hungered and you gave me meat; I was thirsty and you gave me drink…” (Matt. 25:35) If you have questions, or to volunteer, please contact Sandi at Beans@ergrace.org.
Anchorage Gospel Rescue Mission
Join us as we lead the nightly worship service once a quarter at the Anchorage Gospel Rescue Mission. The service includes a time of testimony and music. Contact office@ergrace.org if you are interested in serving.
Short Term Missions
Over the past several years, our church has sent teams to serve with Sagrada Scholarship Bible Camp and Josiah Venture English Camps. For more information on either opportunity, please contact office@ergrace.org.

Sagrada Scholarship Bible Camp Located on the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, the Sagrada Scholarship Bible Camp goal is to bring the Gospel to children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to go to camp. Most of the children come to the camp through referrals from Prison Fellowship Angel Tree Ministry, which means they have one or both parents in prison.

Each child is given a Bible and taught how to use it. There are 4-5 campers to every counselor and they sleep in tee-pees or covered wagons. The camp has swimming, fishing, games, songs, campfires and other camp activities, but the emphasis is in presenting the Gospel and in training the children to live their lives according to the Word of God. Each month, the camp corresponds with the children to encourage them in their walk with the Lord.

Josiah Venture English Camp/Czech Republic Mission Team Since 2010, Eagle River Grace has partnered with Josiah Venture to send a team to the Czech Republic to staff an evangelistic English camp. Our primary purpose is to share our lives and the love of Jesus Christ through peer relationships with students that have probably had little or no contact with Christians, the Bible or the truth of Jesus Christ.

In addition to evangelistic opportunities, camps also provide an excellent context in which to work alongside Eastern European youth groups and youth leaders to help model relational evangelism.

Our Czech Mission Team spends five months praying, preparing and fund raising for this adventure. Opportunities for serving on the team are available to anyone 15 years of age and older.
